Today i wanted to talk about the writing process and how it has evolved over the years. Back when we first started the band the writing process was more of a really fun jam session. A 12 pack of beer and all of us in one room just playing what came to our minds and that is what created Dreamwalker our first album. As time progressed we moved more and more towards writing at home and bringing in new song ideas. As for our second and third album we mostly jammed and wrote riffs at home, while taking videos on our phones to remember our riffs. We would come in the next day and jam out some of these ideas until they fell together as a song. Wow, have things changed; this upcoming full length album most of the writing was done at my house in my own make shift studio. I started to piece together songs on my DAW(Digital Audio Workstation) creating pre-pros and demo ideas. This was a huge step for us to closely analyze and examine our writing and creative process. There are times that i miss the days of just jamming out a song with a 12 pack of beer but ultimately this was the more ideal solution for us. Which brings me to the next topic, THE NEW ALBUM! I will talk about what you can expect from this new album on a later post so make sure to subscribe and check back.
